Welcome!
Welcome to Edinburgh Young Walkers (EYW), a walking group for people in their 20s and 30s based in Edinburgh.
We have an active walks programme with a walk organised most weekends, and several weekends away each year. Our walks are a mix of hillwalks, including munros and corbetts, and always popular lower level outings - so whether you're new to walking, or never far from the mountains, we'll happily welcome you!
On the social side we have a pub night every month, with additional events through the year, including the annual Xmas night out, wine tastings, boat trips and dinners to name a few!
Hope to see you on a hill soon!

FAQs
Do I need to pay membership?
EYW is affiliated to the Ramblers and all members are encouraged to join the Ramblers. New members are welcome to attend two walks to decide if the group fits in with them before taking out a Ramblers membership.
further details on how to join the Ramblers can be found at http://www.ramblers.org.uk/join
Who are they then?
The Ramblers is Britain's walking charity, working to safeguard the footpaths, the countryside and other places we go walking, and to encourage more people to take up walking. With 119,000 members in England, Scotland and Wales, they've been working for walkers for 76 years.
Affiliation to the Ramblers provides insurance cover for Walk leaders (only if they themselves are Ramblers phew... they ARE). Funding is also provided for technology costs and activites such as training.
